The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

Why an emergency-only office in Osprey
Osprey sits between Sarasota and Venice on the mainland side of Little Sarasota Bay. A lot of people live along this stretch of US 41, and a lot more come down for the season. A cracked molar or an abscess doesn't care which group you're in. It needs a dentist now.
So our schedule is built around emergencies. We hold openings each weekday for people who called that morning, and we open at 8:00 AM so a tooth that kept you up all night can be seen before work. The phone is answered around the clock.
What we treat
Everything on this site is done in our office, by our dentists. That includes severe toothaches, simple and surgical extractions, emergency root canals, abscesses and swelling, broken or chipped teeth, knocked-out teeth, wisdom tooth pain and lost fillings and crowns.
We're not a general dental practice. Fillings and crowns show up here only when a tooth is broken, a filling has fallen out or a crown has come loose.

Our dentists are licensed in the State of Florida. They handle every emergency listed above and explain what they find in plain language before you decide anything. Our office staff speak Spanish during office hours and answer the phone from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays. Outside those hours an answering service takes your details and holds you the first opening the next business morning.
How we handle cost
If you're paying without insurance, your visit starts at $99 for the exam and X-ray. After the dentist has seen the tooth, you get the treatment price in writing, and only then does any work begin. We accept most PPO dental insurance plans; if you have a PPO plan, the exam and X-ray are billed to your plan. Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing are available if you'd like to pay over time. We're closed Saturday and Sunday, but the phone is still answered; call on a weekend and you're held the first opening Monday at 8:00 AM.
