The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

How far is our office from Palmer Ranch?
About 5 road miles, which works out to 8 to 12 minutes in normal traffic. It runs from Clark Road (State Road 72) at the north end down to Oscar Scherer State Park and the Scherer Thaxton Preserve at the south end, with Honore Avenue as its spine and the Legacy Trail running along it. Our office is at 416 S Tamiami Trl Ste F4, Osprey, FL 34229, on US 41 (South Tamiami Trail), the main road through Osprey.
From the middle of Palmer Ranch, Central Sarasota Parkway drops you onto US 41 and the rest is a short run south. From the south end, State Road 681 gets you to US 41 just below Osprey. Either way you're on the Trail for only a few minutes. Parking is on site.

The visit itself is simple. Our dentists examine the tooth and take an X-ray. They tell you what's wrong and what it will cost to fix, in writing. Then, if you agree, treatment starts at the same visit whenever the diagnosis allows.
Getting here from Palmer Ranch
The north and south halves of Palmer Ranch reach us by different roads, and the difference matters.
If you live in the northern part, near Clark Road or Potter Park, take Central Sarasota Parkway west. It ends at US 41. Turn left, heading south, and stay on the Trail through Vamo. You'll pass Historic Spanish Point, and about a mile later you're in Osprey. Our office is on US 41 at 416 S Tamiami Trl Ste F4.
If you live in the southern part, near the state park or the Scherer Thaxton Preserve, follow Honore Avenue south to State Road 681, the Venice Connector, and take it west. It meets US 41 just south of Osprey. Turn right, heading north, and the office is a few minutes up the road.
Coming from I-75 instead, exit 205 at Clark Road feeds the northern route and exit 200 feeds the southern one via SR 681. Summer afternoon storms slow both. Leave a little early rather than waiting for the sky to clear.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Palmer Ranch patients
For patients paying without insurance, the exam and X-ray are $99. Treatment is priced on its own, based on what our dentists find, and the figure is written down for you before any work begins.
If you have a PPO plan, the exam and X-ray are billed to your plan. We accept most PPO dental insurance plans. Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing are available for patients who prefer to pay over time. Details are on the cost and insurance page.
