The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

How far is our office from Vamo?
About 3 road miles. In normal traffic that's 6 to 10 minutes, and the whole trip stays on one road. We're at 416 S Tamiami Trl Ste F4, Osprey, FL 34229, on US 41 (South Tamiami Trail), the main north-south road through Osprey. Vamo sits north of us on that same road, between Vamo Road and Central Sarasota Parkway, with Little Sarasota Bay along its west edge.
Historic Spanish Point lies between Vamo and our office, about a mile north of our door. Potter Park, Palmer Point Park and the Jim Neville Marine Preserve out on the Bird Keys are all on the Vamo side of that stretch, and Sarasota County Fire Station 14 is in the neighborhood as well. Parking is on site.
Getting here from Vamo
Two ways in, and both end with you heading south on US 41.
- From Vamo Road. Vamo Road meets US 41 in the middle of the neighborhood. Turn south onto the Trail. You'll pass Historic Spanish Point, then reach Osprey. Our office is at 416 S Tamiami Trl Ste F4, on US 41.
- From Central Sarasota Parkway. Drive the parkway west until it ends at US 41, then turn south. From there the drive is the same: past Spanish Point and into Osprey.
Summer afternoons bring thunderstorms to this part of the coast. A downpour on the Trail is a reason to drive slowly, not a reason to put off a tooth that hurts.
Same-day emergency dental care for Vamo patients
Every weekday, from 8:00 AM, we keep room in the schedule for emergencies. A Vamo patient who calls in the morning is usually seen that same day. Call during office hours and the front desk gives you a time. Call after 4:00 PM, or on a Saturday or Sunday, and a real person still answers, takes your details and holds you the first opening, which is 8:00 AM the next business morning.
The call matters. It's how we keep a chair ready for you. When you arrive, our dentists examine the tooth and take an X-ray. Most problems are treated at that same visit: severe toothaches, extractions, root canals, abscesses and infections, broken or chipped teeth and lost fillings and crowns. Everything is done in our office by our dentists.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Vamo patients
The exam and X-ray are $99 for patients paying without insurance. Treatment is separate, and the price depends on what the X-ray shows. Our dentists write that figure down and hand it to you before any work starts, so the decision stays yours.

Our last appointment ends by 4:00 PM, and the office is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The phone is not. On a Monday evening it means Tuesday at 8:00 AM.

Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice, on Laurel Road East near I-75, is the nearest emergency room to our office.
Emergency dental services for Vamo families
Vamo is a waterfront neighborhood, and outdoor mishaps happen: a tooth chipped on a boat rail, a crown that pops loose at a picnic in Potter Park, a wisdom tooth that starts throbbing on a walk at Palmer Point Park.
A knocked-out tooth is the one to move fastest on. Keep it moist, in milk or tucked inside your cheek, and call us right away. With a drive this short you can be here quickly enough for replanting to have a real chance. Don't leave the tooth sitting in a hot car; the heat dries it out.
A wisdom tooth that flares up gets seen the same day, and if it has to come out, wisdom tooth extraction is done in our office. If you're in Vamo for the season and a filling falls out far from your regular dentist, we'll replace it here. Same-day appointments work the same for winter visitors as for year-round residents.
